Required credentials:
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
- BLS certification
Core responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care under RN or physician direction
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Assess, clean, dress, and manage wounds; monitor for infection or complications
- Monitor and document vital signs and patient status continuously
- Maintain accurate patient records and provide patient/family education on conditions and self-care
- Respond promptly in medical emergencies and follow infection control protocols
