Locum Tenens Cardiologist — Hospital & Clinic Coverage (Gettysburg, PA; SepDec 2026)

We’re looking for a cardiology physician to cover a locum tenens assignment in Gettysburg, PA from September 1, 2026 to December 1, 2026. You’ll split time between hospital and clinic settings, handling both clinical duties and call coverage.

Schedule

• Clinic week: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Call week: Monday 7:00 a.m. through the following Monday 7:00 a.m.

What you’ll be doing

• Evaluate and manage hospital consults
• Take hospital call as scheduled
• Perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs)
• Read and interpret transthoracic echos
• Supervise and interpret nuclear cardiac testing

Patient and volume expectations

• Hospital: roughly 20 patients per day
• Clinic: roughly 18 patients per day

Facility and support

• Department size: 74 beds
• EMR: Epic
• Support staff: medical assistants available
• Coverage need: covering for 1–2 physicians to maintain the schedule

Privileges, credentialing, and compliance

• Temporary privileges available with a clean file
• Standard credentialing timeline: up to 120 days if not already credentialed
• Temps can be arranged if you have a clean file

Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania medical license or compact/Universal License (IMLC) with LOQ in hand
• Board eligible in cardiology
• DEA registration required
