Join a busy hospital-based urology team in York, PA, covering short-term locum shifts with a mix of clinic, OR, and beeper call. You’ll be working in a Level 1 trauma center that uses Epic and has cystoscopy equipment and towers available.

Schedule and coverage

• Locum Tenens; coverage period Jul 13–20, 2026 (primary window Jul 13–17, option to extend through Jul 20). Additional block Sep 21–27, 2026.
• 24-hour beeper call coverage during assigned dates.
• Clinical plus call responsibilities (hospital and clinic).

Patient population and volume

• Adults (18+) are the primary population; occasional pediatric emergency (torsion) cases.
• Expect 24–28 patients per day.
• Case mix includes general urology and robotic surgery.

Typical duties

• Provide inpatient and emergency urology consults and cover beeper call.
• Mix of office visits and office-based procedures (cystoscopy, stent placement, injections).
• Supervise and support advanced practice providers (NPs and PAs).
• Perform OR procedures including vasectomy, prostate procedures, ureteroscopy, lithotripsy, penile plication, and orchiopexy.

Facility support and resources

• Level 1 trauma center.
• EMR: Epic.
• Onsite equipment: cystoscope and towers.
• Support staff: 1 RN, 4 MAs, 1 office staff member.

Privileges, credentialing, and compliance

• Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges available.
• Credentialing timeline: approximately 90 days.

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in Urology.
• Active PA medical license or Universal License (IMLC) LOQ required.
• DEA registration required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
