Service Setting: In-house OB/Gyn coverage with resident/fellow supervision
Schedule
- Clinical shifts variable: weekdays 7:00–17:00, weeknights 17:00–07:00, weekends 07:00–19:00
- On-call: In-house weeknights (17:00–07:00) and weekends (07:00–19:00); additional day call shifts as needed
Patient Mix
- Approximately 66% OB/GYN, 34% GYN
Coverage/Support
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) on site during the day; MFM available on call at night
- Specialty backup available
Required Procedures
- GYN service procedures (ED transfers)
- Dilation & Evacuation (D&E)
- Dilation & Curettage (D&C)
- Cesarean Section (C/S)
Qualifications
- Board certified in OB/Gyn
- Universal License (IMLC) required
- Clean background check
- Recent NPDB self-query (within 6 months) required for submission
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-house OB and GYN clinical coverage and respond to service pages
- Perform required operative and urgent procedures (D&E, D&C, C/S, ED transfers)
- Provide on-call coverage nights/weekends and variable day shifts
- Supervise residents and fellows
