Join an inpatient child and adolescent behavioral health team in Mansfield Center, CT, providing locum tenens psychiatric care from 09/07/2026 to 01/01/2027. This clinical-only assignment is full-time (40 hours/week) with shift schedule to be determined.
Clinical focus and responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and treatment planning for children and adolescents.
- Manage acute inpatient psychiatric conditions and coordinate care across disciplines.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and collaborate with nursing, therapy, and behavioral health staff.
- Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and support admissions and rounding as required.
Facility and support:
- Inpatient behavioral health setting with standard resources and a multidisciplinary team.
- Specialty behavioral health backup and support staff available.
- EMR system: to be determined.
Qualifications and compliance:
- Connecticut medical license (active or ability to obtain) and active DEA.
- Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry; board certification preferred.
- Prior experience in child and adolescent inpatient psychiatry preferred.
- Hospital privileges required.
Compensation and logistics:
