Job Description

We’re seeking a locum tenens Interventional Radiologist to join a hospital-based team in Cooperstown, NY, covering a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM clinical schedule starting ASAP and continuing until a full-time hire is in place. You’ll be working onsite only (no remote reading) to care for adult and geriatric patients, typically seeing about 5–8 patients per day with a case mix that’s roughly 60% interventional and 40% diagnostic radiology.

In this role you’ll perform common IR procedures—biopsies, drainages, tube and line placements, nephrostomies, biliary drainages, and arterial angiograms—while also interpreting X-ray, CT, and ultrasound studies. You’ll manage patients who need image-guided interventions, collaborate with referring clinicians and the inpatient care team, and complete accurate, timely documentation in Epic.

You’ll have specialty backup from both interventional and diagnostic radiologists and dedicated radiology department staff supporting procedures. The department uses Epic, and Phillips angio suites are preferred for this assignment.

Requirements:

  • Active New York medical license
  • Board certification in Radiology
  • Interventional radiology experience
  • ACLS required (BLS not required if ACLS is active)
  • Epic training required
