Clinical responsibilities

• Provide overnight inpatient trauma and general surgery coverage
• Manage adult general surgical and trauma cases
• Perform procedures including central line placement, chest tube insertion, and vascular access device placement
• Document care using Cerner and collaborate with on-call trauma surgeons

Qualifications

• Active Michigan NP license required (candidate must be local)
• NP certification in appropriate specialty
• DEA: verbal confirmation required at name clear
• Current ACLS and ATLS certifications

Required procedural privileges

• Adult general surgical cases and trauma cases
• Central line insertion
• Chest tube insertion
• Vascular access device placement

Shift and reason

• Nights (7pm–7am), Jun 30–Dec 31, 2026
• Coverage due to recruitment gap
