Join a 13-week contract assignment in Hilo, HI beginning July 20, 2026. This Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Stepdown) role is for a Registered Nurse working approximately 36 hours per week after the first week of orientation (no guaranteed hours; no call). Shift details to be confirmed.

Requirements:

• Must obtain an active State of Hawaii nursing license upon acceptance of the offer and have the license by the assignment start date.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year of acute hospital care within the past year. Progressive care and telemetry experience preferred.
• ACLS preferred; PALS and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Willingness to float to other acute units as needed (Medical, Surgical/Pediatrics, ICU, and ER).

Key responsibilities:

• Provide primary nursing care in a PCU/stepdown setting.
• Monitor telemetry and interpret telemetry strips.
• Perform routine point-of-care testing such as fingerstick blood glucose.
• Deliver safe, patient-centered care across acuity levels and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
