Locum tenens opportunity in Cooperstown, NY to provide inpatient adult psychiatric care on a 14‑bed unit. Coverage begins 07/20/2026 and continues ongoing, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with phone call coverage including at least one weeknight and 1–2 weekends per month (exact call schedule TBD). Responsibilities include performing inpatient psychiatric evaluations, medication management, treatment planning, daily rounding, phone consultations, and documenting encounters in Epic. You will serve as the sole attending physician on the unit and collaborate closely with 1–2 nurse practitioners and multidisciplinary psychiatry support services.
Requirements: active New York medical license, board certification, active DEA registration, and inpatient psychiatry experience. Hospital privileges are required. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered; compensation rate TBD. Facility: 14‑bed inpatient psychiatric unit using Epic EMR. Case mix: general adult inpatient psychiatry with admissions.
