Family Nurse Practitioner | Augusta, ME Child & Adolescent Facility
Location: Augusta, Maine
Hours: 40
 
POSITION OVERVIEW:
A private, residential facility for Child and Adolescent (18 and younger) patients is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join its multi-disciplinary team due to growth and expansion. The FNP will be responsible for providing medical care and services as needed alongside psychiatric treatment to residents.
  • Perform basic H&Ps for new admissions
  • Medically clear discharges
  • Acute medical needs: coughs, infections, bumps, bruises, etc.
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with team of therapists, nurses, PMHNP, and Psychiatrist
  • Paid call stipend

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide focused medical care in Residential Treatment setting
  • Evaluate incoming patients for conditions to confirm known and unknown diagnoses. Residents’ medical history cleared by admissions team prior to arrival.
  • Provide medical treatment on as-needed basis for concerns that may arise
  • Assess outgoing patients prior to discharge
  • Guide, collaborate with multi-disciplinary team of Nurses, LCSWs, and Psychiatrists.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • FNP Board Certification.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in ME required or ability to obtain.
    • Ability to obtain licenses in CA, ID, and NH for call coverage.
  • Active DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Experience in Psychiatry or Behavioral Health not required.
