Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician — Inpatient/Outpatient 24-hr Call, Burien WA

Locum tenens opportunity in Burien, WA providing combined inpatient and outpatient OB/GYN coverage. Immediate start with ongoing assignments covering clinical shifts and in-house call. Typical schedule: 24-hour shifts (7a–7a), three shifts per week for two weeks each month. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided. Coverage needed due to recruitment challenges.

Clinical scope and patient load

• Average daily volume: 2–5 patients
• Admissions and rounding required
• Manage labor & delivery patients, perform vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Provide gynecologic care including ED consults and operative GYN cases
• Support level: Level 1 nursery

Facility and support

• EMR: Epic
• On-site backup: Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs) and Family Practice OBs (FPOBs)
• Support staff: L&D RNs, CNMs, FPOBs, X-ray tech, MAs, RNs, LPN/LVNs, and lab techs

Credentials and compliance

• Hospital privileges required; credentialing timeline ~60 days
• Board-certified in OB/GYN preferred; board-eligible considered
• Active Washington medical license or IMLC universal license required
• Active DEA registration and BLS certification required
• Local candidates highly preferred
• NPDB self-query required at presentation

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour on-site OB/GYN call coverage
• Manage labor and delivery, assist CNMs/FPOBs, and staff the ED for GYN consults
• Perform gynecologic surgeries and care for admissions
• Participate in triage, rounding, and documentation using Epic
