Remote Locum Psychiatric PA (Peds/Adol Focus) — Flexible 1099, $120/hr, Fully Remote

We’re looking for a compassionate, experienced Psychiatric Physician Assistant to join a fully remote locum tenens team, providing evidence-based care to children, adolescents, and young adults. This 1099 contract role is ideal if you value clinical autonomy, flexible scheduling, and making a real difference within a collaborative, mission-driven practice.

Schedule

• Minimum 10 hours per week
• Availability during peak demand hours: after 3:00 PM ET on weekdays and/or flexible weekend availability

What you’ll do

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up assessments via telehealth
• Diagnose and treat mental health conditions in patients ages 2 and up
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
• Create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Educate patients and families as appropriate
• Keep accurate, timely documentation in the EHR
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure continuity of care

Compensation & support

• $120/hour (1099)

• Dedicated administrative support to minimize non-clinical tasks

What we’re looking for

• Graduate of an accredited PA program with NCCPA certification
• Active, unrestricted PA license in Pennsylvania
• DEA registration and prescriptive authority
• Minimum 2 years of psychiatric clinical experience as a PA
• Experience treating pediatric and adolescent patients (ages 2+) strongly preferred
• Strong skills in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and medication management
• Comfortable with telehealth platforms, EHRs, and digital communication tools
• Reliable computer, phone, and high-speed internet
