Clinical Volume & Facility

• Average ED volume: ~77 patients/day
• Admissions: None
• Department bed count: 250
• Trauma designation: Level III
• EMR: Epic
• APP support: 1–2 per shift
• Teaching hospital: Teaching opportunities available

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department
• Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers
• Manage ED patient load (~77 patients/day)
• Complete timely documentation in Epic
• Participate in teaching activities as applicable

Credentials & Requirements

• Board certification: BC in Family Practice or ABEM (required)
• Licensure: Active Iowa medical license or Universal License via IMLC (required)
• Certifications: ACLS and PALS (PALS may be waived if ER-boarded); ATLS required for trauma privileges
• Background: Clean background required
• Availability: Must be available for credentialing presentation—July if holding active IA license, August if holding active IMLC

Hospital Privileges: Required (must obtain prior to coverage)
