Locum Tenens OB/GYN Hospitalist — 24Hour InHouse Shifts in Phoenix (Vaginal & CSection Duties)

We’re seeking a Hospitalist OB/GYN to provide in‑house coverage at a Phoenix, AZ medical center. This locum tenens role is inpatient, starts ASAP and is ongoing, with 24‑hour in‑house shifts and in‑house call responsibilities.

What you’ll be caring for

• Obstetric and gynecologic patients, plus newborns ≥34 weeks gestation
• Case mix includes prenatal care, labor & delivery, postpartum management, and gynecologic consultations/emergencies

Facility snapshot

• Labor & Delivery unit inside a 79‑bed medical center

Procedures you should be comfortable with

• Vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Recognition and management of obstetric emergencies
• Gynecologic consultations and procedures as clinically indicated

Minimum qualifications

• Board certified in OB/GYN
• Active Arizona medical license or participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
• At least one year of clinical experience post‑residency

Day‑to‑day responsibilities

• Provide 24‑hour in‑house coverage for laboring and postpartum patients and manage obstetric/gynecologic emergencies
• Deliver babies vaginally and via C‑section and direct postpartum care
• Evaluate and manage gynecologic issues, performing surgical procedures when needed
• Work closely with nursing staff, midwives, and specialty backup to coordinate care
• Maintain thorough documentation and clear handoffs in the EMR
