We’re looking for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide locum tenens coverage at a Level I trauma center in Phoenix, AZ. The assignment runs July 13, 2026 – January 11, 2027 and is clinical-only in a hospital setting.

Schedule and shift details

  • Primarily nights on 10- and 12-hour shifts, 3–4 shifts per week.
  • Must be flexible to cover days when needed and willing to work at least one full weekend shift per month.
  • Expect to participate in night and weekend rotations (typically 3–6 night shifts per month).

Patient population and caseload

  • You’ll care for adults, pediatrics, and obstetrics patients.
  • Full-scope case mix: obstetrics (including high-risk OB), pediatrics, neurosurgery, and general surgery.
  • Work performed in both OB and OR settings.

Qualifications and compliance

  • Active Arizona license or participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
  • Board-certified within the last 5 years.
  • Minimum of 2 years recent CRNA experience in a hospital environment.
  • Eligible to see Medicare patients; no significant malpractice history or license suspensions.
  • Residency and board status will be verified.

Credentialing timeline (estimates)

  • AZ license: about 6 weeks.
  • IMLC: about 2 months.
  • For those without a current license: approximately 3 months (assuming a clean background).
  • Credentialing can begin with a pending license to help speed onboarding.

Core responsibilities

  • Deliver general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care within a supervised model.
  • Provide anesthesia coverage across OB, pediatrics, neuro, and general surgery.
  • Maintain flexibility across shifts and settings to support the team and ensure patient safety.
  • Follow Medicare requirements and all facility compliance standards.
