Requirements

• Current, active state license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist with patient evaluations to identify physical and functional limitations.
• Collaborate on development of individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions and activities to improve motor skills, mobility, and daily living independence.
• Instruct patients in safe and effective use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
• Document patient care accurately and timely, recording progress, treatments, and changes in condition.
• Provide patient and family education and training for home exercise programs and ongoing recovery.
• Communicate regularly with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Follow safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe therapy environment.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients working toward therapeutic goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
