Join a well-established, hospital-employed ophthalmology practice in scenic Rutland, Vermont, as the Medical Director of Ophthalmology. This full-time leadership role blends a vibrant clinical practice with the opportunity to shape and expand ophthalmic services across a respected regional health system.
What you'll do
- Provide high-quality patient care within a high-volume, referral-driven practice.
- Lead and mentor a collaborative team of ophthalmologists, optometrists, and certified ophthalmic assistants.
- Oversee clinical operations, quality initiatives, and service development across the department.
- Utilize an updated suite of diagnostic and surgical equipment and dedicated OR block time at a modern procedure center.

Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology; completion of an accredited residency required
- Fellowship training welcome but not required
- Eligible for Vermont medical licensure and hospital privileges
- Demonstrated leadership experience or potential, with strong interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to exceptional patient care
