Medical Director of Ophthalmology (Board Certified/Eligible Ophthalmologist)

What you'll do

• Provide high-quality patient care within a high-volume, referral-driven practice.
• Lead and mentor a collaborative team of ophthalmologists, optometrists, and certified ophthalmic assistants.
• Oversee clinical operations, quality initiatives, and service development across the department.
• Utilize an updated suite of diagnostic and surgical equipment and dedicated OR block time at a modern procedure center.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology; completion of an accredited residency required
• Fellowship training welcome but not required
• Eligible for Vermont medical licensure and hospital privileges
• Demonstrated leadership experience or potential, with strong interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to exceptional patient care
