We’re seeking a General/Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner to provide onsite clinical coverage for an inpatient service in Natick, MA. This locum tenens opportunity is for adult patients only and begins ASAP through September 1, 2026.
Schedule & Logistics
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (full-time onsite; no telehealth)
- Coverage type: Clinical only
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
Clinical Scope & Patient Population
- Adult inpatient population with an average daily census of about 10 patients
- Case mix includes medical consults, ED consults, and daily inpatient rounding
- Typical consults: sore throats, rashes, diabetes management, medication reconciliation/consults, and other non-behavioral medical issues
Work Setting & Support
- 20-bed unit within an inpatient psychiatric setting
- EMR: Cerner
- Supported by RNs, other PAs/NPs, and office staff
- Collaboration expected with mid-level providers, social workers, and nursing teams
Qualifications & Administrative Details
- Board certified
- Licensed in Massachusetts
- Temporary hospital privileges available; full privileges not required
- Credentialing timeline: approximately 90 days
