Overview:
Provide direct and indirect nursing care in the Emergency Department, ensuring safe, efficient patient flow and high-quality outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and ancillary departments to evaluate and adjust care as needed. Deliver compassionate, professional care that addresses patients’ physical, psychosocial, and communication needs.

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS, ENPC, TNCC and/or TNS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in the ED
• Communicate changes in patient condition, symptoms, and diagnostic results to ED physicians and the care team
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient status and treatment response
• Coordinate with specialists and ancillary services to optimize patient care and ED throughput
• Provide patient- and family-centered care consistent with professional standards and expectations
