Job Description

Position Overview

Saint Vincent Hospital, a well-established acute care facility in Worcester, Massachusetts, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Orthopedic Surgeon to join a hospital-employed practice. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and patient-centered orthopedic team serving a diverse and growing community.

The position is primarily focused on general orthopedic surgery, with opportunities to incorporate subspecialty interests. Candidates with experience or training in total joints, trauma, or reconstructive orthopedics are strongly encouraged to apply. New graduates are welcome and will benefit from mentorship and a supportive onboarding environment.

Practice Details
  • Hospital-employed position
  • Single, established practice location
  • Primary surgical site: Saint Vincent Hospital
  • Access to modern OR suites and advanced surgical technology
  • Dedicated clinical and administrative support staff
  • Integrated care model with strong referral base
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care in general orthopedic surgery
  • Evaluate and treat musculoskeletal conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Perform a wide range of orthopedic surgical procedures
  • Participate in shared call coverage, supporting hospital orthopedic needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including primary care, rehabilitation, and specialty services
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts
  • Interest in general orthopedics required
  • Fellowship training or experience in Total Joint Replacement, Trauma, or Reconstruction is a plus but not required
  • Strong clinical and interpersonal skills with a commitment to quality care
