Coverage: ASAP – Ongoing (covering vacancy during long-term permanent search)
Travel, lodging, malpractice: Covered by agency
Patient population and volume
- All ages (neonates to seniors)
- Average 16–20 patients/day
- Case mix: diagnostic audiology, hearing aid evaluations and fittings
Facility and support
- EMR: Epic
- Support staff: 5 MAs, 5 office staff
- Hospital privileges: not required; temporary privileges not available
Qualifications
- Degree: Master’s or AuD in Audiology with clinical practicum
- Certification: CCC-A required for Master’s-level candidates
- Board status: Board eligible
- Licensure: Washington state license or Universal License (IMLC)
- BLS required
Core duties
- Perform diagnostic hearing assessments (pure-tone air and bone conduction, speech audiometry, impedance)
- Interpret results and communicate findings to patients and physicians
- Recommend medical follow-up, hearing protection, or amplification as appropriate
- Conduct hearing aid evaluations, select and fit devices, and provide patient instruction on use and care
- Provide routine hearing aid maintenance and troubleshooting for devices purchased through the clinic
