Part-Time Occupational Therapist (Licensed, Inpatient Mental Health) — Fulton, MO

We’re looking for an Occupational Therapist to join a team serving adults at an inpatient mental health facility in Callaway County, Missouri. This part-time, temporary contract role (up to 24 hours/week) runs Monday–Friday within an 8:00 AM–4:30 PM window and is scheduled to start July 1, 2026. Pay is $55–$65/hour; contract length is to be determined.

What you’ll do

• Evaluate clients’ functional mobility, daily living skills, and need for adaptive or mobility equipment.
• Recommend and implement interventions to improve safety, reduce fall risk, and increase independence.
• Teach consumers and caregivers how to use adaptive equipment safely and effectively.
• Provide OT services for ADLs, self-care, fine motor coordination, muscle re-education, weakness, and pain management.
• Communicate equipment needs and care plans to facility staff.
• Document assessments, interventions, and progress according to facility standards.
• Complete required orientation and facility credentialing/security checks before starting.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Who we’re looking for

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in Missouri.
• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Experience conducting OT assessments and delivering interventions—behavioral health, rehab, long-term care, or hospital experience is a plus.
• Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable supporting adults with mobility, self-care, adaptive equipment, and safety needs.
