Join a friendly hospital team in Gloversville, NY, covering the emergency department on a locum tenens basis. You’ll work in a 74-bed acute care hospital with a 21-bed ED that sees about 21,000 visits per year. This is a clinical-only role beginning 08/17/2026 and continuing on an ongoing, flexible schedule.
What you’ll be doing
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to the ED.
- Perform emergency medicine procedures and moderate sedation within your scope of practice.
- Admit patients as clinically indicated and coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, and other hospital personnel.
- Document encounters in the Meditech EMR.
Facility and support
- 21 ED beds; hospital has 74 acute care beds and an attached 84-bed skilled nursing facility.
- Meditech EMR.
- APP coverage available approximately 11–20 hours per day.
Requirements
- Active New York NP or PA license.
- Current certification: AANP/ANCC for NPs or NCCPA for PAs.
- Active DEA registration with a New York address and schedules II, IIN, III, IIIN, IV, and V.
- ACLS and PALS (AHA).
- Moderate sedation competency.
- Case logs from the previous 2 years.
- CME: minimum 50 Category I credits in the past 2 years.
- Immunizations/occupational health: annual flu vaccine, current PPD or chest x-ray, current physical exam, annual N95 fit test, and titers for MMR, Hep B, and varicella.
- Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program. New graduates are considered; training will be provided.
Compensation & logistics
