Minimum Requirements

• Current, unencumbered California RN license
• Minimum 1 year acute care experience within the past 2 years
• At least 6 months recent experience in Emergency or Critical Care
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS must be American Heart Association)
• Current ACLS and PALS
• Maintain and provide proof of competency as required

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide break relief and supplemental RN staffing across Emergency, Medical-Surgical/Swing Bed, and Skilled Nursing units.
• Independently implement the nursing process to deliver safe, age-appropriate, individualized patient care in assigned departments.
• Accept assignments delegated by the Nurse House Supervisor and report to the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer as required.
• Be available to work in any department for which trained and competent, on direction or autonomously, to meet patient care needs.
• Maintain required competencies and documentation to demonstrate ability to perform at expected levels.
