Hopi Health Care Center (HHCC) – Polacca, Arizona

Proposal Opportunity – Anticipated Future Openings

Sequoyah Staffing Agency is currently preparing a proposal in response to a federal staffing solicitation supporting Hopi Health Care Center (HHCC), an Indian Health Service facility located in Polacca, Arizona. While positions have not yet been awarded, we are actively identifying qualified physicians interested in potential future opportunities.

  • Emergency Department Physician (ED)

  • Inpatient/Hospitalist Physician (IPU)

Facility Overview 

Location: 264 Mile Post 388, Polacca, AZ, 86042

Hopi Health Care Center serves the Hopi Tribe and surrounding communities in northeastern Arizona. Providers have the opportunity to practice in a mission-driven environment while caring for underserved populations and making a meaningful impact on patient care. Hopi Health Center is a 15 bed hospital that serves a population of 18,000 residents. 

Expected Schedule

Emergency Medicine Physician (ED): Routine ED Physician shifts are expected to be 12 hour shifts. Shifts are generally scheduled from 7:00 am to 7:00 PM and 7:00 am to 7:00 am.

Inpatient/Hospitalist (IPU): Routine IPU shifts are expected to be 10-12 hour shifts. Shifts are generally scheduled from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical care within assigned clinical setting.

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in accordance with facility standards.

  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

  • Adhere to all facility, IHS, and federal healthcare policies and procedures.

  • Participate in orientation, credentialing, privileging, and onboarding requirements.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).

  • Completion of an accredited residency program.

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in applicable specialty.

  • Active, unrestricted medical license.

  • Current DEA registration.

  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain facility privileges and federal security requirements.

Compensation

ABEM Certified ED Physicians: $325-$350 an hour based on experience, travel, and lodging accomodations. 1099 payment twice a month. Malpractice insurance included (1M/3M) with tail.

ED Physicians without ABEM certification: $275-$300 an hour based on experience, travel, and lodging accommodations. 1099 payment twice a month. Malpractice insurance included (1M/3M) with tail. 

Inpatient Hospitalist Physicians: $180-$200 an hour based on experience, travel, and lodging accommodations. 1099 payment twice a month. Malpractice insurance included (1M/3M) with tail.
