Locums Trauma/General Surgery NP/PA — 7-on/7-off Nights, No Call, Midland MI

Location: Midland, Michigan — ongoing inpatient locum tenens assignment
Schedule: Nights, 7 days on / 7 days off; 6:00 PM–6:00 AM daily (Mon–Sun). No call. Holiday coverage only if it falls within your scheduled week.

Core responsibilities

• Manage inpatient admissions and consults for trauma, general surgery, and urology.
• Respond to Level I and Level II trauma activations.
• Perform admissions, histories & physicals, and surgical consults.
• Serve as first-call provider for inpatient surgical services: general surgery, trauma, orthopedics, urology, and colorectal surgery.
• Evaluate trauma and general surgery patients and coordinate care with the on-call surgeon.
• Manage urology admissions/consults; assist with Foley troubleshooting, continuous bladder irrigation, and bedside urologic procedures.
• Board surgical cases as appropriate.

Required procedural skills

• Suturing
• Central line placement
• Arterial line placement
• Chest tube placement

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with trauma and general surgery experience.
• Active Michigan license.
• Current ACLS and ATLS certifications (AHA).
