Job Description
Join a locum opportunity in Alpena, Michigan providing predominantly outpatient Radiation Oncology coverage with an emphasis on continuity of care, treatment planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Schedule and Logistics
- 3 days per week; typical shift 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Preferred days: Tuesday–Thursday (flexible)
- Clinic: ~99% outpatient, occasional inpatient consults
- EMR: Epic; dictation: Dragon
- Mandatory weekly tumor board attendance
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide E&M services, new consults, and follow-ups
- Manage radiation treatment courses and acute toxicities
- Oversee treatment planning and quality assurance in collaboration with the team
Procedures and Technology
- CT simulation (CT Sim)
- IGRT, IMRT, VMAT
- SBRT and SRS
- HDR brachytherapy
Qualifications
- Active Michigan medical license required
- BLS certification
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology
