Required Procedures & Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope midwifery care in an inpatient hospital setting
- First assist for obstetric procedures
- Manage intrapartum, postpartum, and OB triage patients
- Perform newborn assessments and well-woman gynecologic exams
- Participate in scheduled 12-hour shifts or 24-hour in-house call coverage
Qualifications
- Board certification: American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
- Licenses: Active Texas medical license
- DEA: Active Texas DEA
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years full-scope midwifery experience and minimum 2 years recent first-assist experience (within the past 2 years)
