We’re seeking an experienced RN to step into a Nurse Unit Manager role in Siler City, NC. This is a local, contract position starting ASAP for approximately 9 weeks. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, and the pay is $2,360 for a 40-hour week.
What you’ll bring
- An active, valid Registered Nurse license in your state
- Prior nursing leadership experience
- Current BLS certification
What you’ll do
- Lead and support your nursing team (RNs, LPNs, CNAs), making sure policies and best practices are followed
- Oversee patient care—ensure accurate assessments, safe medication administration, timely documentation, and adjustments to care plans as needed
- Help manage staffing and scheduling to keep patient care running smoothly
- Coach and mentor staff to support their professional development and clinical growth
- Monitor quality and compliance, conduct audits, and drive improvements when issues are identified
- Coordinate communication across the healthcare team to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care
- Advocate for patients, address concerns promptly, and promote a respectful care environment
- Respond to medical emergencies according to established protocols
- Ensure all electronic health record entries are complete and accurate
- Stay informed about changing healthcare regulations and help the team remain compliant
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
