Job Description
A well-established healthcare facility in Petoskey, Michigan seeks a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician for a locum tenens outpatient role. This opportunity offers a supportive clinic setting with a focus on comprehensive primary care for patients across the lifespan and no on-call duties.
Position highlights:
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- No weekends or night call
- Patient volume: ~20 patients per day
- EHR: Cerner
Clinical responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive outpatient care for adults and children
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Provide routine wellness, preventive care, and age-appropriate screenings
- Perform gynecologic exams, including pelvic exams and Pap smears
- Interpret EKGs and coordinate referrals and follow-up care
- Accurately document all patient encounters in Cerner
Required qualifications:
- Board Certified in Family Medicine
- Active Michigan medical license
- Prior family medicine outpatient experience
- Residency in Michigan or local to the state
- Strong outpatient clinical and diagnostic skills and comfort treating patients of all ages
