Overview
Join a community health center in Richmond, VA as a locum tenens family medicine physician from September 7, 2026 through December 28, 2026. You’ll work clinically Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with extended hours until 7:00 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Who you’ll see
You’ll care for patients of all ages in a family medicine setting, typically seeing about 25 patients per day as the MD (APPs see roughly 20 per day).
What we’re looking for
You must hold an active Virginia medical license, have DEA registration, and have completed an accredited family practice residency.
What you’ll do
Provide complete, ongoing primary care for individuals and families: perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop and manage treatment plans. Participate in surgical, obstetrical/gynecological, and critical care procedures as appropriate to your training. You’ll also help educate other clinical staff and non-medical team members about health-related topics.
