Locum OBGYN Physician — Inpatient Rounding & Evening/Weekend Call (Richmond, VA)

We’re looking for a Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible OBGYN to provide locum coverage in Richmond, VA, focusing on on‑site inpatient rounding and evening/weekend call to support a busy obstetrics and gynecology service.

Schedule & call expectations

• Weekday on‑site inpatient rounding.
• On‑site evening call coverage.
• On‑site weekend call coverage.
• Typical patient volume: about 11 patients per day.

What you’ll do

• Deliver comprehensive inpatient care for obstetric and gynecologic patients.
• Perform routine and complex inpatient assessments, rounding, and management.
• Cover evening and weekend call shifts, collaborating with the care team as needed.
• Work closely with nurses, mid‑level providers, and other physicians to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of care.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible in OBGYN.
• Active Virginia medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Proven experience in inpatient OBGYN care, including labor & delivery and gynecologic procedures.
• Comfortable using eClinicalWorks (outpatient) and Meditech (inpatient) EMR systems.
