Job Description
A healthcare facility in Petoskey, Michigan, seeks a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician for a locum tenens opportunity. This role offers a well-supported outpatient clinic environment with no call responsibilities—ideal for a clinician who enjoys caring for patients across the lifespan.
Schedule and environment
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- No weekends, no night call
- Typical patient volume: ~20 patients/day
- EHR: Cerner
Clinical responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for pediatric and adult patients
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Perform routine wellness and preventive care visits
- Conduct gynecologic exams, including pelvic exams and Pap smears
- Interpret EKGs and coordinate necessary follow-up and referrals
- Accurately document encounters in Cerner
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Family Medicine
- Active Michigan medical license
- Previous Family Medicine experience required
- Must be local to Michigan
- Strong outpatient clinical and diagnostic skills and comfort treating all age groups
