Locum IR Nurse Practitioner/PA — $135/hr, 50% Inpatient/Outpatient, 4-day Week, No Call

We’re looking for an experienced Interventional Radiology advanced practice provider to join a collaborative IR team in Brick Township, NJ. This locum tenens role offers a balanced inpatient/outpatient mix in a well-supported clinical setting.

Compensation

• $135 per hour

Schedule & Setting

• 50% inpatient / 50% outpatient
• 4 days per week
• 10-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• No call

What you’ll do

• Evaluate and manage patients who need interventional radiology services across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform pre-procedure assessments and provide post-procedure follow-up care.
• Support procedural workflow and coordinate patient care alongside the IR team.
• Collaborate closely with the Interventional Radiology physician and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement treatment plans.
• Educate patients about procedures, risks, benefits, and follow-up instructions.
• Document patient encounters and procedural notes clearly and efficiently in the electronic medical record.

Procedures you should be comfortable performing

• Paracentesis
• Thoracentesis
• PICC line placement

Team & Volume

• You’ll work with:
  • 1 Interventional Radiology physician
  • 1 advanced practice provider
• Patient volume will vary depending on the day’s procedures and clinical needs.

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner (or Physician Assistant) with an active New Jersey license
• Prior experience in Interventional Radiology, procedural care, hospital-based practice, or a related specialty is preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency with paracentesis, thoracentesis, and PICC placement
• Strong clinical judgment, procedural skills, and communication abilities
