Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant (Per Diem) — Stockbridge, GA

Join a collaborative trauma surgery team in Stockbridge, GA, providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced surgical environment. This full-time Physician Assistant will evaluate and manage trauma patients across the continuum of care, assist in operative procedures, respond to emergent situations, and support multidisciplinary coordination and education.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive trauma assessments, including history, physical exam, diagnostic interpretation, and formulation of individualized treatment plans.
• Assist with preoperative preparation, intraoperative support, and postoperative/perioperative management to optimize patient recovery.
• Serve as an active member of the trauma response team, participating in the assessment and stabilization of critically ill or injured patients and helping to refine trauma protocols.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and allied health staff during rounds, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant and active Georgia state licensure.
• Proven experience in trauma care and surgical settings, with strong clinical and procedural skills.
