Locum Tenens Outpatient Cardiologist — Redding, CA (6+ Month Assignment)

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist for a locum tenens outpatient role in Redding, California. The assignment starts late June/early July and runs for six months or longer, offering a consistent weekday schedule that supports an excellent work–life balance. This position suits General Cardiologists or Interventional Cardiologists who are comfortable practicing 100% outpatient cardiology without procedural duties.

Compensation

• $350 per hour

Assignment details

• Start: End of June / Early July
• Length: 6+ months
• Setting: 100% outpatient
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (includes 1-hour lunch); Friday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
• Coverage: 4–5 days per week, full-time
• Typical patient volume: ~20 patients per day

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient cardiology care for adult patients
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of cardiovascular conditions
• Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up visits
• Develop and implement treatment plans and coordinate ongoing cardiac care
• Review and interpret diagnostic studies (EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, ambulatory monitors)
• Collaborate with primary care and specialty providers to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
• Active California medical license
• Demonstrated experience in general cardiology
• Interventional Cardiologists welcome if comfortable practicing exclusively in an outpatient general cardiology role
