Contract travel opportunity at Tsehootsooi Medical Center in Fort Defiance, AZ. Start date: August 9, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Nights. Pay: $2,685.60 per 36 hours.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with recent emergency/trauma experience. Minimum 2 years recent RN experience in the specialty required; 3+ years preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS.
• PALS or ENPC, and TNCC required.
• Conscious sedation certification required (can be obtained through the facility after hire; $105 fee).

Role overview

• Work across a combined Emergency Department including an 11‑bed Main ED, 6‑bed Fast Track, and 7‑bed ED Observation Unit; nurses rotate regularly through all areas.
• Assignments can include Triage, Quick Registration, COVID tent, and Entry Screening; staff may be reassigned daily or during a shift based on patient volume and unit needs.
• May assist with COVID testing and immunization clinics as needed.
• Travelers should be prepared to float to other departments where qualified—this may involve taking a patient load if competent in that area or completing task-oriented duties (phones, call lights, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely emergency nursing care across ED areas.
• Prioritize triage, assessment, and stabilization of patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to manage patient flow and unit needs.
• Maintain required certifications and participate in unit assignments and cross‑coverage as directed.
