The Carilion Clinic–Virginia Tech Carilion Family Medicine Residency Program seeks an osteopathic sports medicine physician to join our collaborative academic faculty. This is an excellent opportunity to teach, mentor, lead osteopathic education, and continue developing a sports medicine practice.

This core faculty position includes seeing continuity patients, precepting/coaching residents, and assisting with curriculum development/oversight.  Hospital inpatient attending opportunity available but optional. 

Qualifications

·       Board Certified in Family Medicine (ABMS or AOA)

·       Eligible for unrestricted Virginia medical licensure

·       Sports Medicine fellowship training and/or CAQ required

·       Five years of clinical experience and teaching experience preferred

Carilion Clinic offers a competitive salary with incentives tied to productivity and quality metrics, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid malpractice and tail coverage, health insurance, and retirement benefits, including a fully funded pension plan.  Salary range is $220,000-$320,000 annually. The posted salary range may not reflect the full value of the total compensation package. You are eligible to participate in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus compensation programs to improve the minimum salary.  Historical averages of Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus earnings are included in the maximum salary . In addition, comprehensive benefits and pension offerings further enhance the overall rewards package.
