Job Description
We are seeking a Cardiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Illinois. This is an excellent long-term assignment offering a balanced mix of inpatient consults, outpatient clinic, diagnostic interpretation, and low-volume call.
Overview
- 7 consecutive days every other month
- 24-hour coverage (8:00 AM – 8:00 AM)
- Approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (or up to 9:00 PM as needed) onsite
- Remaining hours are call coverage
- 7 shifts per month during assigned coverage block
- EMR: Epic
- Inpatient cardiology consults and rounding
- Outpatient cardiology clinic
- Low-volume call and callback
- Stress test interpretation
- Echocardiogram reading and interpretation
- Management of general cardiology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible MD/DO
- ACLS & BLS certifications
- DEA required
- Illinois license preferred
- Candidates needing to obtain an Illinois license will be considered
- Minimum 1 year of experience
