We’re seeking a Physician Assistant to join an outpatient Hematology/Oncology team in Potsdam, NY, for a 6‑month locum assignment. You’ll work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, providing clinical care to adult oncology and hematology patients in an outpatient clinic with occasional inpatient consults.
What you’ll see and do
- Manage a daily caseload of about 18–20 adult oncology patients.
- Provide comprehensive outpatient evaluations, diagnoses, and follow-up care.
- Administer and manage chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and hormone therapies.
- Take occasional inpatient oncology consults as needed.
- Use Epic for documentation (AI-assisted charting available) and maintain timely, compliant records.
Team and setting
- Outpatient oncology clinic with 15 infusion chairs.
- Current provider team includes 1 physician, 1 nurse practitioner, and 3 clinical support staff (CNA/CMA).
- Epic EMR in use; prior Epic experience is required.
Qualifications
- Active New York medical license required.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology.
- Proven experience with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormone therapy management.
- Epic EMR experience required.
