SCP Health, a physician-founded and physician-led organization, is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join the Emergency Department at Knox Community Hospital, a community-focused acute care hospital located in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
This opportunity offers a moderate-volume Emergency Department, strong physician collaboration, and the ability to provide high-quality emergency care in a supportive and patient-centered environment. Providers benefit from predictable compensation, efficient workflows, and a stable practice setting within a respected health system.
Clinical & Program Details- Patient Volume: Approximately 25,000 ED visits annually
- Specialties: Emergency Medicine
- Coverage Model:
- 24 hours of physician coverage daily
- 22 hours of NP/PA coverage daily
- Facility Type: 115-bed Community Hospital
- Emergency Department Beds: 17
- Acuity: Moderate
- Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
- Procedures: Standard emergency medicine procedures appropriate to NP scope of practice
- Admissions/Transfers: Coordinated through hospital and physician leadership
- Education: Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Certification: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)
- Licensure: Ohio Nurse Practitioner license (or ability to obtain)
- Experience: Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience preferred
- Clinical Skills: Ability to independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients within scope of practice
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
