Call Schedule: 24-hour beeper shifts; up to 2 shifts/month (max 10 shifts/year)
Call Response Time: 30 minutes
Coverage Reason: Supplemental
Travel, lodging, malpractice: Covered by vendor
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour call coverage for pediatric emergency department and inpatient orthopedic consults
- Round on existing inpatient pediatric orthopedic patients
- Perform required procedures as needed (Hand — tendon release)
- Document and manage all patient encounters in Epic EMR
Facility & Support
- EMR: Epic
- Support staff: 3 advanced practice providers (APPs)
Privileges & Compliance
- Temporary hospital privileges available; permanent hospital privileges not required
Qualifications
- Board: BC (Board Certified)
- Medical license: Missouri or active IMLC
- Certifications: BLS, ATLS, PALS
Response Requirements
- Respond to beeper calls within 30 minutes
- Maximum commitment: 2 shifts per month, up to 10 shifts per year
