Locum tenens opportunity in Columbia, SC for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Hospital-based, clinical-only coverage from Sep 28, 2026 to Dec 28, 2026. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (10-hour shifts). All-inclusive travel, lodging, and malpractice coverage provided.
Patient mix: adolescents (12+), adults, and geriatrics. Typical cases include orthopedics, spine, gynecology, ophthalmology, plastics, general surgery, GI, cardiac (TEE), and MRI sedation.
Facility uses Epic EMR.
Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license required (IMLC not accepted)
- NBCRNA board certified
- BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA) current
- Minimum 2 years CRNA practice experience
- Clean background required
- Local providers within 60 miles not eligible
Privileges & credentialing
- Credentialing timeline: ~60 days with active SC license; ~90+ days without
Key responsibilities
- Provide general and regional anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care across a broad case mix
- Perform arterial line placement and manage mechanical ventilation
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and post-anesthesia evaluations
- Deliver OR anesthesia and provide out-of-OR coverage for GI, cardiac TEE, and MRI sedation as needed
