Locum Tenens Cardiologist — Outpatient General Cardiology (Redding, CA)

We’re looking for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist to cover a locum tenens outpatient cardiology role in Redding, California. The assignment is expected to begin late June or early July and run for six months or longer. This is a dependable weekday position that offers an excellent work–life balance.

This role fits a General Cardiologist or an Interventional Cardiologist who is happy practicing 100% outpatient cardiology without procedural duties.

Compensation: $350 per hour

Role highlights and schedule:

• Start date: end of June / early July
• Assignment length: 6+ months
• Practice setting: 100% outpatient
• Typical schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (includes a 1-hour lunch); Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
• Coverage: 4–5 full-time days per week
• Patient volume: about 20 patients per day

Clinical responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive outpatient cardiology care for adult patients
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of cardiovascular conditions
• Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up visits
• Develop treatment plans and coordinate ongoing cardiac care
• Review and interpret diagnostic studies (EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, ambulatory monitoring)
• Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
• Active California medical license
• Demonstrated general cardiology experience required
• Interventional Cardiologists welcome, but must be comfortable with an outpatient-only practice
