Locum Tenens Interventional Radiology NP/PA — Brick, NJ (50% Inpatient / 50% Outpatient)

Join a collaborative Interventional Radiology team in Brick Township, NJ, for a locum tenens role blending inpatient and outpatient care in a well-supported clinical setting.

Compensation: $135/hour

Schedule and Setting

• 50% inpatient / 50% outpatient
• Four 10-hour shifts per week (8:00 AM–6:30 PM)
• No call

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients needing interventional radiology services across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Conduct pre-procedure assessments and provide post-procedure follow-up care
• Perform and document procedures, including paracentesis, thoracentesis, and PICC line placement
• Collaborate with the IR physician and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
• Educate patients on procedures, risks, benefits, and follow-up instructions
• Accurately document encounters and procedural notes in the electronic medical record
• Support procedural workflow and coordinate patient care

Team and Volume

• Work alongside 1 Interventional Radiology physician and 1 additional advanced practice provider
• Patient volume varies according to procedural and clinical demand

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with an active New Jersey license
• Prior experience in Interventional Radiology, procedural care, hospital-based practice, or a related specialty preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency with paracentesis, thoracentesis, and PICC line placement
• Strong clinical judgment, procedural skill, and communication abilities
