Locums Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon — Glendale, AZ (Level II Trauma)

Physician-led organization seeking a fellowship-trained locum orthopedic trauma surgeon to support a Level II Trauma Center in Glendale, AZ. The role emphasizes predictable scheduling, strong clinical support, and hospital-based patient care alongside an experienced orthopedic trauma team.

Schedule

• 183 twenty-four-hour shifts annually
• Blocked scheduling with 7-day stretches
• Built-in recovery time between rotations

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide operative and non-operative management of orthopedic trauma patients
• Participate in trauma call coverage
• Manage a broad range of fractures and orthopedic injuries
• Coordinate care with trauma surgery, emergency medicine, hospitalists, and rehabilitation teams
• Balance operative cases, inpatient care, and follow-up clinic duties
• Maintain timely documentation and high-quality patient care

Requirements

• Board eligible or board certified in Orthopedic Surgery
• Orthopedic trauma fellowship preferred
• Prior experience managing orthopedic trauma in a hospital setting
• Eligible for Arizona medical licensure
• Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges

Compensation and support

• Above-market hourly rate
