Job Description
Provide comprehensive virtual neurologic care for patients with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and related cognitive disorders through a fully telehealth model, expanding access to specialty care nationwide.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive tele-neurology evaluations, cognitive assessments, diagnosis, and longitudinal management of neurodegenerative and cognitive disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, care planning, and coordination with community resources.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (APPs, behavioral health specialists, care coordinators) to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Serve as a clinical leader: supervise, mentor, and provide clinical oversight for APPs across multiple states; ensure adherence to clinical protocols and telehealth standards.
- Participate in quality improvement, documentation review, and compliance activities related to telemedicine practice.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members in virtual settings; document encounters in the electronic medical record.
Compensation & benefits
- Salary range: $260,000–$276,000 plus full benefits.
Required qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited Neurology residency.
- Board Certification in Neurology.
- Active, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state; multi-state licensure or IMLC eligibility preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience managing patients with memory or cognitive disorders.
- Demonstrated proficiency with telemedicine platforms and virtual neurological assessments.
- Strong clinical expertise in cognitive evaluation, dementia management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for virtual patient, family, and team interactions.
- Commitment to empathetic, patient-centered care and continuous professional development.
Preferred qualifications
- Fellowship training in Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology or Behavioral/Cognitive Neurology.
- Prior experience supervising APPs in a telehealth or multi-state practice model.
- Familiarity with amyloid-targeting therapies and other emerging treatments for Alzheimer’s disease.
- Experience in integrated, interdisciplinary, or value-based care models.
