Locum EP Cardiologist — Weekday Clinic & EP Lab (No Nights/Weekends/Call)

A respected cardiovascular program in Petoskey, MI is seeking a Locum Electrophysiology Cardiologist to provide ongoing weekday clinic and EP lab coverage. This role offers a predictable Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM–5:00 PM) with no nights, weekends, or on-call duties—ideal for a physician focused on electrophysiology procedures and outpatient cardiac care.

Position overview

• Coverage: ~3 weeks per month, daily onsite clinic and EP lab coverage
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Setting: Outpatient clinic and electrophysiology lab
• EMR: Cerner
• No weekend, night, or on-call responsibilities

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive EP consultations and longitudinal follow-up
• Evaluate and manage patients with arrhythmias and conduction disorders
• Perform EP studies, catheter ablations, and other EP lab procedures
• Manage cardiac implantable electronic devices (pacemakers, ICDs)
• Interpret ECGs, ambulatory monitoring, and EP testing
• Coordinate care with cardiologists, APPs, nursing, and cath lab staff
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Cerner and deliver patient-centered care

Typical volume

• ~20 outpatient clinic patients per day
• Two dedicated EP lab days per week

Qualifications

• MD or DO required
• Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology preferred
• Active Michigan medical license and DEA registration required
• COVID-19 vaccination required

Required experience and skills

• Independent EP procedural experience (EP studies, ablation, device management)
• Strong knowledge of arrhythmia management and cardiac device therapies
• Comfortable managing both outpatient and procedural patient populations
