Job Description

We are seeking a licensed, experienced physician to serve as Regional Medical Director for our Queens and NYC-area treatment centers. This role balances leadership and hands-on clinical work—splitting time between strategic/provider development and direct patient care—to ensure high-quality, compliant, and integrated medical services across multiple sites.

Compensation: $275,000–$315,000 base plus bonuses and a full benefits package.

Primary responsibilities

  • Clinical care: Provide high-quality patient care as needed to support clinical operations and model best practices.
  • Site leadership & mentoring: Spend 3–4 days per week visiting sites to mentor clinicians, develop teams, and support day-to-day clinical workflows.
  • Operational oversight: Oversee medical operations, ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, and implement clinical policies and protocols.
  • Quality assurance: Monitor and evaluate clinical practices, outcomes, and performance metrics to maintain and improve standards of care.
  • Training & development: Design and deliver training programs to enhance clinical skills, clinical documentation, and patient safety.
  • Care management: Implement utilization management strategies and value-based care initiatives to optimize outcomes and resource use.
  • Strategic growth & integration: Support expansion and integration of primary care and clinical programs; partner with leadership on provider recruitment, onboarding, practice development, and clinical program growth.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with administrative and interdisciplinary teams to streamline operations and improve patient experience.

Minimum qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty.
  • Active New York medical license; DEA, Medicare, and Medicaid provider IDs required or obtainable.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in healthcare administration or site-level clinical oversight.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and mentoring skills.
  • Experience overseeing multiple providers, clinical sites, or interdisciplinary teams preferred.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on clinical leader committed to staff development, high-quality patient care, and continuous improvement across a growing network of community treatment centers.
