Job Description

We’re growing our team of OB/GYN hospitalists and looking for experienced, patient-focused physicians to ensure every pregnant person who arrives at the hospital receives expert, consistent care. You’ll work closely with local obstetricians and a supportive national network of colleagues, with a role designed to prioritize patient safety while preserving your work/life balance.

Where you’ll work
Opportunities are available in Chesapeake, Mechanicsville, Petersburg and Richmond, Virginia. You’ll be part of a collaborative group that emphasizes high-quality, evidence-based care and continuous improvement.

What the role looks like

  • Full-time hospitalist position with a flexible, self-designed schedule
  • Typical commitment: 7–9 24-hour shifts per month (about 21 days off monthly)
  • No office management duties and no traditional “on-call” responsibilities
  • Focus is on inpatient OB/GYN care and rapid management of obstetric emergencies

What we’re looking for

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Current Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Ability to manage obstetric emergencies and provide comprehensive inpatient OB/GYN care
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, and a patient-centered approach
  • Commitment to clinical excellence and quality improvement
